Trio Locked Up After Brutal Leicester Stabbing

Three criminals have been jailed for a combined 43 years following a savage stabbing at a Leicester flat on Narborough Road.

Frenzied Attack at Leicester Flat

On 19 August 2024, police rushed to a Leicester address just after 5.30pm after reports of a stabbing. A 36-year-old man was attacked inside the home of 41-year-old Monika Krolikowska.

The victim revealed he was a former neighbour of Krolikowska and had casually bumped into her at a nearby shop. When he asked to charge his phone at her flat, she agreed.

While sitting inside, two men, David Rzeszowski and Damian Dwogewski, barged in. The victim heard one ask Krolikowska, “Is this the one?” before launching a brutal 30-second stabbing spree. The victim suffered serious wounds to his chest, shoulder blade, hands, and forearms.

Plot Thickens: Woman Behind Attack

Initially treated as a witness, Krolikowska was soon arrested after police found she invited the men to attack the victim. The terrified man told officers he didn’t know the attackers and feared for his life.

After the stabbing, the pair fled on foot to Scotland. Rzeszowski was caught by Police Scotland over a warrant recall, while Dwogewski was arrested months later upon returning to Leicester.

Harsh Sentences Delivered at Leicester Crown Court

During the trial in February 2025, Dwogewski and Krolikowska were acquitted of attempted murder but convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Rzeszowski had already pleaded guilty.

On 5 March 2025, sentencing was handed down:

  • David Rzeszowski received 15 years at HMP Leicester.
  • Damian Dwogewski was sentenced to 14 years at the same prison.
  • Monika Krolikowska, of Main Street, Humberstone, also got 14 years behind bars.

This vicious stabbing and the ruthless planning behind it has rocked the Narborough Road community, serving a stark warning against violent crime in Leicester.
