A young woman has been charged with causing death after a horrific crash in Corsham claimed the life of her passenger.
Tragic Death on A4 Bradford Road
19-year-old Rosa Taylor died instantly when the Hyundai i10 she was travelling in was slammed by a massive Scania tipper lorry on the A4 at B3109 Bradford Road on 24 July 2025.
Rescue teams scrambled three air ambulances to the scene. Medics battled to save Rosa and two others—two women and a man—who suffered serious injuries. Despite their efforts, Rosa was pronounced dead on the spot.
Driver Faces Charges Over Fatal Crash
Abbey Ridgway, 26, the driver of the Hyundai, has now been charged with causing death by careless driving. The Ennerdale woman from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court tomorrow (24 March).
Heartbreaking Tribute to Promising Performer
Rosa, a performer en route to an event, was described by her father, Gareth Taylor, as “the most beautiful person inside and out.”
“She was the very definition of a spirit that shines brightly and dies young, loved by anyone who met her,” he wrote on Facebook.
“She passed away instantly at the scene and without pain.”
This tragic incident has shocked the local community and sent ripples of grief across Corsham.
