Detectives have opened a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Shadwell. Police were called to Watney Street at 4:01pm on Tuesday, 7 April following reports of an assault.
Man Dies After Knife Attack
Officers and paramedics found a man, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, suffering from serious knife wounds. He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but tragically died despite medical efforts. Detectives are trying to identify his next of kin.
Second Victim in Hospital
A second man in his 50s was also found with a knife injury at the scene. He has been taken to the hospital and is not believed to be in a life-threatening condition.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams said: “My thoughts are with the victim’s family and the community affected by this tragic incident. We are working hard to establish exactly what happened. “If you were in the area at the time or have CCTV or dash cam footage, please come forward. Your information could be crucial.”
