A man from Leicester was slammed with a hefty sentence after being found guilty of rape, strangulation, and stalking a woman while living in Manchester. Jack-Leland Webster, formerly known as Jack Malone, was locked up for nine years and five months at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.

Horrific Abuse Uncovered

  • Webster accused his victim of cheating in June 2024.
  • As she tried to leave their flat, he blocked the door to trap her inside.
  • He strangled her, warning, “Don’t make me kill you. If you do, I’ll have to kill myself so we can be dead together.”
  • He then sexually assaulted the terrified woman.

During the ordeal, Webster impersonated the victim’s ex-boyfriend, sending fake messages to test her loyalty. The ex reached out to warn the victim after suspecting the deception.

Relentless Online Harassment

While on bail, Webster went full stalker mode online. He bought dozens of fake social media accounts to bombard the victim and her loved ones with unwanted messages, breaking court orders banning contact. At one point, over 100 fake accounts flooded her social media in seconds. He also continued pretending to be her ex to send harassing messages.

Stone Cold and Defiant

Webster showed zero remorse throughout the investigation. He treated the whole case like a game—mocking police, demanding to be “picked up from KFC” and even bringing a book on debating tactics to his interviews. He pleaded guilty to stalking before trial. The jury found him guilty of rape and strangulation after hearing the full horror. Webster also faces an indefinite restraining order to protect the victim from any future threats.
