Knife Attack at Steven Close Triggers Police Hunt
Kent Police raced to Steven Close at 10:35 pm on Thursday, 12 March 2026, after a man was found with stab wounds. Emergency services rushed him to the hospital, but he has since been discharged.
Woman Comes Forward With Serious Injuries
Further investigations uncovered that the attack began at a private home on Gordon Road. A woman later reported she also suffered serious injuries in the same violent incident.
Suspect Caught and Facing Serious Charges
Police arrested 21-year-old Munashe Kumadiro from Whitehall Road, Greys, Essex, on 15 April in Southend. He was charged the next day with two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent. Kumadiro appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody. His next court date is set for Friday, 15 May, at Maidstone Crown Court.
