Disturbing Incident at Laleham School
An Afghan man in his twenties was arrested on Thursday, 16 April 2026 after allegedly harassing children and families outside Laleham Church of England Primary School on Staines Road, near Staines in Surrey.
Police Act Quickly
Surrey Police responded to several reports about the man’s behaviour. Following his arrest, he was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to a secure facility for assessment and treatment.
Housing and Council Concerns
The suspect had been living in a Home Office-supported House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) nearby. Spelthorne Borough Council has demanded answers, writing to the Home Office for explanations and risk assessment assurances.
