Sussex Police have confirmed that a man sought in connection with the unexplained death of a 44-year-old Eastbourne woman has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation. Emergency services were called to an alleyway on Belmore Road on 2 April 2026 after reports that the woman was in cardiac arrest. Despite lifesaving attempts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
