A 68-year-old man, Stephen Robinson of Cheviot Road, has been charged with the rape of a 37-year-old woman in Worthing. The alleged offence took place on Salvington Road, Durrington, at around 5.55pm on Thursday, May 7. Robinson appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, May 9, and has since been remanded in custody.

Remand And Court Dates

Following his initial hearing, Robinson remains in custody and is due to appear before Lewes Crown Court on June 8. The court proceedings are ongoing as police continue their investigation.
