Knife Attack Horror in Gloucestershire: One Dead, Two Injured
Chaos erupted just after 5.20pm on Tuesday, October 5, in the Snowdonia Road and Arlington Road area. Police were flooded with calls reporting a man wielding a knife and attacking people.
Heroic Bystanders Step In
Several members of the public bravely intervened before officers arrived on the scene. A man in his 50s was quickly arrested and is now in police custody. Authorities say no one else is being sought in connection with the attack.
Tragic and Serious Injuries
- One man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene despite frantic efforts by paramedics and helpers. His family have been informed.
- A second man received serious stab wounds and was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he remains stable.
- A woman was also wounded in the leg and is currently being treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Ongoing Investigation and Police Appeal
Multiple cordons remain in place as police continue their investigation on site. Detective Inspector Ben Lavender of the Brunel Major Crime Investigation Team said:
“We’re in the early stages of investigation and are working hard to find out exactly what happened. We’re speaking to witnesses and those who helped at this serious incident. Anyone with information or mobile footage who hasn’t yet spoken to police should come forward.”
