Teen Stabbed to Death in Chingford Tragedy
Police rushed to Longshaw Road, Chingford, after reports of a stabbing at 9.21pm on Monday, 10 April. Officers arrived within three minutes, joined by paramedics from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
17-Year-Old Boy Dies at the Scene
Emergency crews found a 17-year-old boy with a stab wound. Despite desperate efforts from both the public and medics, the teen was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have now been informed.
Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the inquiry. They have been working overnight and continue to carry out door-to-door enquiries and reviewing CCTV footage from the area. So far, no arrests have been made.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Chief Superintendent Simon Crick, north-east London policing commander, said: “This is a tragic incident and I am devastated that a young life has been lost as a result of knife crime. My thoughts are with the victim’s family at this incredibly difficult time.”
“We have a dedicated team of detectives working on the investigation with additional local patrols to respond to community concerns. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
