UK Businesses Scoop Big Wins at 2025 King’s Awards for Enterprise
The cream of British business has been honoured today as the 2025 King’s Awards for Enterprise winners were unveiled. This top-tier recognition celebrates UK firms smashing it in innovation, trade, sustainability, and social mobility.
A whopping 197 businesses from the UK and Channel Islands made the cut, showcasing the vital role they play in powering the nation’s economic engine.
Double Glory for Sonardyne and Delta Fire
Two companies grabbed attention by snagging awards in two categories — a rare double win. Sonardyne International from Hampshire and Norfolk’s Delta Fire earned top marks across innovation, trade, and sustainable development.

- 46 were recognised for Innovation

- Sonardyne International: Honoured for International Trade and Sustainable Development in offshore energy and ocean science.
- Delta Fire: Acclaimed for Innovation and Sustainability. The firefighting gear maker is on track for carbon neutrality by 2030.
- Level Peaks (Hereford): Awarded for International Trade, supplying cutting-edge defence and security gear, run by ex-Special Forces vets.
- Mixergy (Oxford): Innovation champs behind intelligent hot water tanks boosting energy efficiency.
Government Cheers UK’s Business Brilliance
Gareth Thomas MP, Minister for Services, Small Businesses, and Exports, praised the winners:

He highlighted that 88% of this year’s recipients are small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), underlining their power in the UK economy.
King’s Awards: A Proud 59-Year Tradition
Formerly the Queen’s Awards, the King’s Awards for Enterprise mark their 59th year as the UK’s most prestigious business accolades. Since 1965, more than 8,000 companies have been recognised for excellence.
His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenants will personally hand over the awards across the country throughout the year. Winners will also attend an exclusive Royal reception.
