Man stabbed to death in east London shopping centre

A murder probe is underway after a man in his early 20s was fatally stabbed inside Stratford Centre on Tuesday night.

Chaos at Stratford Centre

Police and paramedics were called to The Broadway, E15, at 9:30pm following reports of a disturbance. They found the victim suffering multiple stab wounds. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene an hour later.

Investigation launched

Detective Acting Chief Inspector Will Reynolds from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command is leading the inquiry. Early reports suggest the victim and a friend clashed with a group of young men before the stabbing.

His next of kin have been informed. Formal identification and a post-mortem are pending.

No arrests yet – police plead for info

No suspects have been arrested so far. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
