Tragic Doncaster Crash Claims Life of Andrew Thorpe
Andrew Thorpe, from North Anston, died in a fatal car accident on Iport Avenue, Doncaster, at around 5.50pm on July 12. Despite the rapid response from road policing officers and Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Andy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Heartbroken Family Pays Tribute to Beloved Dad
In a moving tribute released on Sunday, July 17, Andy’s family described him as a man with “the most contagious laugh, the sweetest personality, and the biggest heart”—especially for his precious five-year-old daughter, who was his world.
“Andy’s amazing smile could light up any room. He had a passion for health, motorcycles, and always putting loved ones first. He leaves a huge hole in many hearts. Andy, we will miss you,” the tribute said.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers investigating the collision are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have captured it on dashcam or CCTV, to come forward.
