Family Pay Heartfelt Tribute to ‘Fearless’ Cam
Cameron’s family shared a moving tribute today. Born in South Africa, he moved to the UK as a baby and grew up on Hayling Island. He attended local schools including Horndean Technology College.
“A passionate rugby fan, Cam took his Springbok spirit onto the pitch, flying down the wing for Havant Rugby Football Club. He was well known and highly regarded, playing junior rugby since 2015 and for the Havant Academy in 2017/18,” the family said.
“Cam loved visiting family abroad, often heading to the Netherlands to see his grandparents. He even travelled back to South Africa to meet extended relatives for the first time.”
“He was about to start a new chapter moving to Somerset to continue studying electrical installation in his third year of college.”
“Cam was dearly loved by family and friends, respected by tutors and peers. He’ll be missed for his deadpan humour, no-nonsense attitude, kind soul, and love for animals. He never had a bad word for anyone.”
