Three Youths Threaten and Snatch Backpack

The teenager was riding his bike along Drakes Way near Marlow Avenue at around 5.20pm when three youths on bikes cornered him. They threatened violence and demanded his backpack.

The gang made off with the bag, containing personal items like college ID, school books, and keys.

Suspects Described: Tall Blonde and Bearded Loner

  • One suspect: about 17, 6ft tall, blonde hair, clean-shaven, black hoodie with hood up
  • Second suspect: slightly older, over 6ft, skinny, short black hair, thin beard, thick moustache, blue coat, black tracksuit bottoms

The stolen college ID was found shortly after on Somerville Road.

Police Urge Witnesses and Dash Cam Owners to Come Forward

“Fortunately, the victim was not injured but understandably very upset,” said PC Sam Thomas. “Drakes Way was busy at the time, so we hope witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage might have seen something.”
