Two Men Rescued After Sea Ordeal Off Hastings

Emergency services sprang into action at 11:20am on Thursday near Rock-a-Nore Road, Hastings, after two men were dragged from the sea in distress.

Multi-Agency Rescue Effort

The rescue involved Secamb, UK Coastguard, Sussex Police officers, and the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance medics—who arrived by road. The UK Coastguard helicopter also supported the operation.

Serious Condition but No Foul Play

A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed both men were treated on scene before being rushed to Conquest Hospital in serious condition.

“Both men were pulled from the sea and received treatment from emergency services at the scene before being taken to the Conquest Hospital in a serious condition,” said the spokesman.

He added there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
