Last-Ever Footage Emerges of Missing TV Star Michael Mosley
New CCTV footage has revealed the final sighting of Michael Mosley, the famed TV and radio presenter who vanished on Greece’s idyllic Symi island. The 67-year-old was spotted strolling near the marina in the village of Pedi last Wednesday, clutching an umbrella and heading towards the rocky hills.
Disappearance Sparks Major Hunt
Michael Mosley, best known for popularising the 5:2 diet and hosting BBC hits like Trust Me, I’m A Doctor and The One Show, disappeared while on holiday. His wife Clare raised the alarm after he left her on the beach and set off for a walk to the island’s centre. His mobile phone was later found back at their accommodation.
Massive Search Operation Underway
Greek authorities immediately launched a full-scale search. Divers, police, volunteers and firefighters are combing the area. A helicopter from Athens and drones are scanning unreachable spots, while a police sniffer dog joins the effort.
Focus on Pedi as Hope Fades
The search concentrates on the Pedi region, where a witness reported seeing Mosley on his last known day. Symi mayor Eleftherios Papakalodoukas says the area is small and busy. “If something happened to him there, we would have found him by now,” he insisted, though he remains hopeful.
