Violent Clash on Bognor Pier Sparks Police Hunt
Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a serious brawl erupted on Bognor’s pier. The violent fracas, involving weapons, went down at The Esplanade around 6:50pm on Sunday, 31 March.
Man Seriously Injured, Suspect in Custody
One man suffered severe injuries during the chaos, though his identity is still unknown. A 32-year-old local has been arrested and is currently held on charges of grievous bodily harm.
Detectives Appeal for Dashcam Footage and Eyewitnesses
“Several witnesses say a man was seriously hurt. We want to find the victim to make sure they’re getting the right treatment,” said Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs.
“This appears to be an isolated incident involving known individuals and isn’t a danger to the wider community.
“Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to come forward to assist the ongoing investigation.”
