Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault on Schoolgirl in Kent
Kent Police launched an investigation after a man made inappropriate comments and touched a schoolgirl over her clothing in the Foord Road area. The unsettling incident happened on the morning of Thursday, 27 June 2024.
Swift Police Action and Arrest
The day after the incident, officers from the town’s Vulnerability Investigation Team arrested 20-year-old Callum Maycock, a local resident of Foord Road. He has since been charged with sexual assault.
Magistrates Court Appearance Scheduled
Maycock appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 1 July. He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Thanet Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 15 August.
