Tragedy in Andover: Man dies after brutal Tesco attack

John William Carroll, 62, has tragically died following a violent assault outside the Tesco Extra on River Way, Andover. The attack happened around 9.18pm on Thursday, 29 July.

Serious Assault Turns Fatal

John was rushed to hospital with a severe head injury but sadly passed away on Tuesday, 10 August. The incident is now being treated as a homicide.

Family Plea for Privacy

John’s family released a heartfelt statement: “John was a well-loved man to all those who knew him. We, as a family, would like our privacy to be respected during this extremely difficult time.”

Police Seek Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage

Detectives have launched Operation Water to investigate the incident. They are urging anyone with information or dash-cam footage from that night to come forward.
