Teen Shot in Lambeth: Police Launch Manhunt
Detectives are urgently hunting witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was shot in Lambeth on Wednesday night. The shocking attack happened on Fairmount Road, SW2, sparking a fast response from police, including armed officers.
Victim Seriously Injured but Stable
The shooting unfolded at around 9.45pm on 11 October. Ambulance crews were called immediately and alerted police. Officers found the injured boy inside a home, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was treated on-site then rushed to a south London hospital. Thankfully, medics say his injuries are not life-threatening.
No Arrests Yet – Police Appeal for Help
Detectives from Central South Command are leading the probe but have yet to make any arrests. Detective Constable Nick Fletcher warned, “This could easily be a murder investigation. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, has serious injuries but is now stable in hospital. I’m keen to speak to anyone who was in the Fairmount Road area on the evening.”
