Man Stabbed Outside Battle Vape Shop After Break-In

Police are hunting for witnesses after a serious stabbing in Battle on Tuesday morning, 7 February.

Attack at Vape Shop in Old Ladies Court

Emergency crews rushed to a vape shop on Old Ladies Court, near Battle High Street, at about 10:30am. A 21-year-old local man was found with severe leg injuries consistent with a stabbing.

The victim was rushed to Conquest Hospital in hastings/" title="Hastings" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Hastings, where he is now stable.

Could Overnight Break-In Be Linked?

The same shop was broken into during the night on Sunday. It’s unclear if the two crimes are connected, but Sussex Police are investigating both incidents.

“My brother was stabbed today after his shop was robbed on Sunday night,” the victim’s sister posted on social media. She added, “His face was battered and two stab wounds to the leg needed stitches.”

Police Step Up Investigation

Detective Sergeant Rob Tillyer said: “This is a fast-moving investigation. Our officers are carrying out extensive enquiries.”

“Tackling serious violence like this is a top priority. We are committed to a thorough investigation.”
