A 76-year-old Bilston man has finally been charged with the brutal murder of a Tipton taxi driver that shocked the Midlands nearly two decades ago.

David Harrison to Face Court Over Fatal Shooting of Harun Khan

West Midlands Police have confirmed that David Harrison will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 6 January 2026. He is accused of gunning down 39-year-old Harun Khan outside his Tudor Street home at 9:25pm on 3 March 2008.

Harun Khan, a devoted father of four, was rushed to hospital but sadly died shortly after the attack.

Harrison’s alleged crimes don’t stop there. He also faces charges for seriously wounding a 27-year-old man in a December 2007 shooting on Farthings Lane, Dudley.

Additionally, he is charged with two counts of illegal firearm possession.
