Woman in Her 60s Found Dead in Shanklin Flat
A woman in her 60s was discovered dead on the second floor of The Post House flats on Steephill Road, Shanklin, Sunday afternoon.
Emergency Services Called to Grim Scene
Locals say emergency crews arrived just after 3pm to a distressing scene. Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service rushed to the flat but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Launch Investigation but No Foul Play Suspected
Hampshire Police confirmed they are investigating the death and have prepared a file for the Isle of Wight Coroner’s Court. Specialist scene-of-crime officers are conducting a full examination of the flat.
A police spokesperson said, “The incident is not being treated as a crime.”
