A 53-year-old man is fighting for his life after a brutal daylight stabbing on a busy Portsmouth street.
Daytime Stabbing Shocks Portsmouth
Police rushed to Kingston Road near Kingston Crescent at 12:32pm on Wednesday, 5 February following reports of a serious assault. The victim was found with a severe stomach wound and rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
Five Arrested in Murder Probe
Hampshire Police have acted fast, arresting five suspects connected to the savage attack:
- A 39-year-old Portsmouth man arrested for attempted murder and knife possession.
- An 18-year-old Portsmouth woman held on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to murder.
- A 23-year-old Portsmouth man arrested for attempted murder and cannabis possession.
- A 50-year-old Portsmouth woman charged with conspiracy to murder.
- A 19-year-old Portsmouth woman arrested for attempted murder.
All five remain in custody as police continue to investigate.

District Commander Superintendent Paul Markham reassured locals: “Based on current info, there’s no wider risk to the community.”
