Harold Wood murder shocker: Elderly man, 87, identified as victim
Victim Named as Bernard Fowler
Detectives probing the murder of a man found dead in Harold Wood on February 27 have confirmed the victim’s identity. He was 87-year-old Bernard Fowler from Havering.
His family has asked for privacy as they grieve this heartbreaking loss.
Investigation Underway, Suspect Charged
Detective Chief Inspector Sam Painter, the senior officer leading the investigation, offered his condolences. “My thoughts are with Bernard’s family and loved ones at this time,” he said. Bernard’s relatives are being supported by specially trained officers.
Painter stressed this was an isolated incident and urged the public to avoid speculation.
We are carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area and working closely with the Metropolitan Police to provide reassurance,” he added.
Charged Man to Appear at Old Bailey
Miles Skai, 22, from Brent Cross in Hendon, has been charged with Bernard Fowler’s murder. Skai is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, March 1.
