Cops Nab Cash and Cocaine in Greenhithe Drug Bust
Police swooped on a hire car in Greenhithe on Wednesday, 16 October 2024, and seized a stash of cash and cocaine. The drama unfolded around 5pm when officers spotted a suspicious Toyota Avensis on London Road linked to drug dealing.
Cash, Phones, and Cocaine Confiscated
Officers stopped the vehicle and detained three men inside. A search revealed £1,025 in cash, four mobile phones, and several wraps of cocaine stashed in a plastic bag and the car’s centre console.
One Man Charged, Two Others Released on Bail
- Anthony Elston, 39, from Thamesmead, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.
- Elston is remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 18 October.
- The other two men, aged 41 and 29, have been released on bail while the investigation continues.
Police say this bust is part of a crackdown on drug supply in the area.
