Knife Crime, Theft, and More: Bromley & Bexley Courts Crack Down
On Friday, July 26, 2024, Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts handed down sentences for a range of offences. From knife possession at a famous London venue to drink driving, justice was served.
Knife Possession at the O2 Lands Man in Trouble
Olutayo Fajobi, 26, from Malden Fields, Bushey, admitted carrying a knife at the O2 Arena in Greenwich on June 3. He received a one-year community order, including an electronically monitored curfew and 50 hours of unpaid work.
Serial Thief Gets Community Sentence
Billy Brown, 40, from Marsala Road, Ladywell, pled guilty to seven counts of theft from a BP station on Lee High Road. Brown was handed a one-year community order that includes mandatory drug rehabilitation treatment.
Teen Fined for Breaching Criminal Behaviour Order
A 17-year-old from Greenwich broke a criminal behaviour order banning him from Croydon. The teen received a £40 fine for the breach.
Assault on Police Officer and Drink Driving Sentences
- David Lee Blackmoore, 43, of Eltham Green Road, admitted assaulting a police officer. He was given a one-year community order with 60 hours of unpaid work.
- Thomas Mongen, 56, from Sewell Road, Abbey Wood, pled guilty to drink driving in Lewisham on February 6. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and fined £120.
