Man Battered Outside Heaven Nightclub in Early Morning Attack
Just after 3am on Friday 18 November, a man standing at the bottom of the stairs outside Heaven nightclub on Victoria Street was viciously assaulted. The suspect struck the victim several times in the face before fleeing the scene.
Victim Suffers Serious Head Injury
The man, aged in his 30s, was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury. Thankfully, he is now recovering at home.
Police Hunt Suspect with CCTV Image
Detectives are combing through CCTV footage and gathering witness statements to track down the attacker. They have released an image of a man who could hold crucial information about the assault.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “This was a dangerous and reckless attack that has left the victim seriously injured. Such violence will never be tolerated on the streets of Merseyside.”
“The nightclub was busy at the time, so someone must have seen what happened. We urge anyone with information to get in touch.”
“We’re also appealing to the man in the released image or anyone who recognises him to come forward. They could be vital to our ongoing investigation.”
