More Arrests After Brutal Ramsgate Stabbing
Detectives have made fresh arrests following a vicious assault in Ramsgate that left a man seriously injured. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate launched an investigation after the stabbing in Harbour Street at around 3am on Sunday, 12 May 2019.
Victim Suffers Serious Wounds
The victim, a man in his 20s, was stabbed in the neck and shoulder. He was rushed to a London hospital with serious injuries but has now returned home and is recovering.
Multiple Arrests and Property Raids
- Three 18-year-old men from Ramsgate were arrested on the night of the attack and remain under investigation.
- Following continued enquiries, police raided seven properties across Ramsgate and Margate on Thursday, 20 June 2019.
- A 19-year-old Ramsgate man, a 16-year-old boy, and another 18-year-old man were also arrested in connection with the stabbing.
- All suspects have been released on bail until 7 August 2019.
Police Vow to Crack Down on Knife Crime
“We remain committed to tackling knife crime culture and are determined in our efforts to remove dangerous weapons from our communities,” said Detective Chief Inspector Chris Greenstreet. “We will continue to take robust action against people who choose to break the law to ensure towns like Ramsgate remain a safe place to live.”
