Keighley Man Jailed for Two Years After Facebook Child Abuse Sting

David Houldsworth Busted in Online Trap

A 58-year-old man from Keighley, David Houldsworth, has been locked up for two years following a live Facebook sting by an online child abuse group. The Bradford Crown Court sentenced him on November 8 after he admitted to sexual communication with a child and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

10 Years on Sex Offenders Register

Alongside his prison term, Houldsworth must sign the sex offenders register for a decade. On release, he’ll also face a sexual harm prevention order, restricting his future activities.

Two-Year Hunt Ends in Justice

The investigation took two years to crack. Detective Constable Adam Flaxington of Bradford’s Online Investigations Team said,

“This was a lengthy two-year investigation, and I welcome the guilty plea and sentence the courts have handed down.”
