Luton Drug Dealer Slapped with 7.5 Years for Guns and Ganja

Police Smash Armed Dealer’s Drug Den

A Luton drug dealer got locked up after police found a stash of firearms, ammo, and a hefty haul of drugs during a December raid. Officers from the guns and gangs unit, Boson, swooped on a property linked to 22-year-old Kieran Church.

Inside, cops uncovered a large amount of cannabis and drug gear. When Church, who knew about the raid, rang someone at the property to ask if the cops would seize his car, police got another warrant. That search revealed a shotgun and two cartridges inside the vehicle.

Church tried to dodge arrest but was caught nearby and hauled in.

Follow-Up Raid Finds More Cocaine, Cash & Loaded Handgun

A second raid at a different address connected to Church unearthed cocaine, a bag of pills, heaps of cash (£2,000+), multiple phones, and more drugs. Under a mattress, officers found a handgun loaded with live rounds.

After a full investigation, Church, from Acworth Crescent, was convicted of possession of firearms, shotgun, ammunition without certificate, firearm while prohibited, and intent to supply Class A MDMA and cannabis. He also copped a 4-month sentence for carrying a bladed article.

Police Vow to Crack Down on Crime

Detective Constable Dave Elias, who led the operation, said at Luton Crown Court:

“We’ve taken two dangerous weapons and a vast quantity of drugs off Bedfordshire’s streets. Drug dealing fuels much of the violence and weapons crimes we see daily.” “We’re stepping up pressure on dealers and will relentlessly hunt anyone illegally pushing drugs in our communities.” “We urge the public to share what they see and hear. Together, we can shut down crime and keep Bedfordshire safe.”

Authorities are calling on locals to report suspicious drug or gang-related activity to help clean up the county’s streets.
