Man Arrested Over Brutal Buddha Lounge Attack in Southampton
Police have arrested a 36-year-old man after a serious assault outside Buddha Lounge in Southampton early Sunday morning.
Gruesome Assault Leaves Man Fighting for Life
The attack happened at 1.48am on Sunday 20 August on Winchester Street. A 30-year-old victim suffered a severe head injury and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Inspector Pete Boakes of the Western Investigation Team urged anyone who was in the area to come forward. He said:
“We would specifically like to speak with anyone who may have footage of the incident on their phone. This area was very busy when the incident occurred and we hope someone may have either purposefully or inadvertently captured footage of the incident. If you were in the Winchester Street area or outside any of the establishments including Buddha Lounge at this time, please get in contact and assist us with this investigation.”

- The 36-year-old suspect remains in police custody on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
