Teen Charged with Murder After Burnt Oak Attack
Gabriel Silvera, 19, from Uxbridge Road, Pinner, has been charged with the murder of 46-year-old Dragos Carabineanu.
Silvera appeared in custody at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 8 November.
Victim Dies After Brutal Assault Near Underground Station
Just before midnight on Friday, 27 October, a violent incident took place outside Burnt Oak Underground Station on Watling Road, Edgware. The following morning, at about 5am, hospital staff alerted the police to Dragos Carabineanu, who had been rushed to a central London hospital with critical injuries.
Despite emergency treatment at St Mary’s Hospital, Dragos sadly died on 1 November.
A special post-mortem will be held on Wednesday, 8 November to examine the full circumstances of his death.
Further Arrests as Police Probe Incident
- On 2 November, a 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft; he was later bailed to return in mid-January 2024.
- On 3 November, a 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft and bailed to return in early February 2024.
- On 6 November, Gabriel Silvera was arrested on suspicion of murder and charged the next day.
