A horrific shove at a Birmingham bus stop has cost an 82-year-old his life. Muntahar Ahmed, 44, has admitted manslaughter for pushing Allen Karem Chand, causing fatal injuries.

Shocking CCTV Shows Brutal Blow

The chilling attack happened at 3.30pm on January 14 last year on Soho Road, Handsworth. Ahmed grabbed Mr Chand’s walking stick and shoved him off the kerb. The elderly man crashed to the pavement, fracturing his skull and suffering serious brain bleeding.

Passersby rushed to help the grandfather who lay helpless in the road. He was rushed to hospital but sadly died five days later.

Ahmed, who had no prior link to Mr Chand, was first charged with wounding. After the pensioner’s death, the charge was increased to manslaughter.

Family Pay Heartbreaking Tribute

“Our father was loving, caring, and never deceived anyone. He taught us to respect the law as an ex-army man, and we will always miss him.”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Jesus said whoever believes in me, though he may die he shall live.”

“Our father is not physically with us but he is alive with Lord Jesus.”

Next Steps in Court

Ahmed’s sentencing date will be set soon at Birmingham Crown Court.
