Online Grooming Sparks Shocking Meet-Up
Assef Naseri, 30, has been slammed with a three-year jail term after arranging to meet a 15-year-old girl in Chester. The Croydon-born man, who has no fixed abode, showed no remorse when he pleaded guilty at Chester Crown Court to child abduction and engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
Despite knowing her age, Naseri groomed the girl online before meeting her in Chester city centre in March 2025. CCTV footage captured their initial meeting, followed by images of them boarding a coach to London, where Naseri was seen kissing the teenager.
Police Crack Case, Nab Naseri Days Later
Just four days after the shocking meeting, police tracked down the victim and found her with Naseri in Croydon. Officers quickly arrested him; his clothing matched the CCTV footage from Chester, sealing the case.
