Detectives Hunt Two Men After Gillingham Murder
Detectives are appealing for two men to come forward with vital information following the murder of Anthony Eastwood in Gillingham. Eastwood was fatally stabbed in Fox Street on the afternoon of Friday, 20 December 2019.
Teen Charged Over Fatal Stabbing
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with Eastwood’s murder. He appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on 15 January and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is set for 17 February.
Witnesses Spotted at Scene — Builders in Hi-Viz?
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is hunting two men believed to be wearing high visibility jackets, possibly builders or tradesmen. Officers think they may have witnessed and stepped into a heated argument between several people on Brompton High Street around 6pm on the day of the stabbing.
Following the row, those involved reportedly left in three vehicles — two Mercedes and a Volkswagen. Police are also searching for a large knife thought to be connected to the crime. Residents around Fox Street are urged to check for any suspicious weapons and report them immediately.
