14-Year-Old Schoolgirl Remanded After Attempted Murder Charge
A 14-year-old schoolgirl has been remanded in custody after being charged with attempted murder following a stabbing at a Petersfield school.
Stabbing Shocker at Petersfield School
The unnamed teen appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates today after allegedly stabbing a fellow pupil. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham with stab wounds to her chest but has since returned home to recover.
Police Called After Morning Attack
The drama unfolded just after 9.30am on Monday in Cranford Road, Petersfield. Police were called to investigate an assault involving two female pupils. The suspect was arrested at the scene and questioned.
Additional Charges and Court Date Set
Besides attempted murder, the teenager also faces charges of threatening someone with a blade on school grounds. She was remanded in custody at Basingstoke Magistrates and is set to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 25 May.
