Hero Passenger Spots Horrific Content on Train
A quick-thinking train passenger exposed a vile predator during a journey from Stafford to London. The witness noticed disturbing images on the man’s phone and immediately reported it to British Transport Police (BTP) via their text service.
Wandsworth Man Caught Red-Handed and Locked Up
David Johnson, 35, from Francis Chichester Way, Wandsworth, faced justice at Inner London Crown Court on 1 April. He was sentenced to two years and three months after pleading guilty to multiple child sexual offences.
- Six counts of making indecent images of children
- Two counts of attempting sexual communication with a child
- One count of arranging or facilitating a child sex offence
Shocking Findings on Seized Phone
Police arrested Johnson as the train arrived at London Euston. His phone was found to contain almost 200 indecent images of children, including some Category A – the worst of the worst. Detectives also uncovered chat logs revealing attempts to communicate with a fake 13-year-old girl, highlighting the sick lengths he went to.
Justice Served and Community Safety Boosted
Johnson was slapped with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the sex offenders’ register for a decade. Detective Constable Victoria Lowth praised the brave member of the public who made the report, calling their actions “courageous” and key to bringing Johnson down.
