Breakthrough in 2018 Murder of Teen Tanesha Melbourne-Blake

Detectives have made a major breakthrough in the cold case of 17-year-old Tanesha Melbourne-Blake, who was fatally shot in 2018. On April 2, 2018, Tanesha was shot from a moving vehicle on Chalgrove Road, N17. She died instantly at the scene.

Two Charged Over Tanesha’s Murder

Today, two suspects have been formally charged with her murder and related firearm offences.

Marcus La-Croix, 36, Hackney

  • Born November 11, 1987.
  • Charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
  • Due in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, July 3.

Michael Clarke, 34, Luton

  • Born October 15, 1989.
  • Also charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
  • Set to appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 4.

The arrests mark a major step forward in seeking justice for Tanesha’s tragic death after more than five years.
