Attack Details Revealed in Court
The court heard Christopher and his cousin were walking to a family birthday party when they crossed paths with a group of four youths. A heated exchange of words occurred before Christopher moved on.
Moments later, the 15-year-old approached Christopher and his cousin wielding a baseball bat. During the scuffle, Pollock rushed in with a knife, stabbing Christopher multiple times. He later died from his injuries.
“Pollock admitted stabbing Christopher to help the 15-year-old and now expresses regret,” said the court.
Detective Inspector Iain MacPherson of the Major Crime Unit said: “While nothing can bring Christopher back, we hope today’s verdicts and sentences offer some closure to his family and friends. Our thoughts remain with them.”
