Police Hunt Knife-Carrying Gang in Penhill Petrol Station Brawl
Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify after a disorder at a Penhill petrol station last month.
Knife and Pool Cue Sparks Chaos
The drama unfolded around 4.50pm on Wednesday, September 16, at the BP station on Cricklade Road. Witnesses reported a man armed with a knife and a teenager wielding a metal pole — later identified as a pool cue.
Thankfully, no one was hurt during the terrifying scene.
Swift Arrests After High-Speed Getaway
One suspect fled in a grey Audi A4 but was caught shortly after in Marlborough. Police arrested the 30-year-old driver from Royal Wootton Bassett on suspicion of affray.
A 16-year-old boy from Amesbury was also detained, accused of affray and carrying an offensive weapon.
Following a thorough search of Penhill, an 18-year-old local man was arrested at home for affray and for encouraging or assisting a criminal offence.
Two more suspects, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old man, were also arrested. The 20-year-old is on bail, while the others remain under investigation.
