Woman Killed and Another Injured in Shocking Dog Attack in Caterham
Tragedy struck Gravelly Hill, Caterham, on Thursday afternoon after a brutal dog attack left one woman dead and another fighting for her health.
Fatal Attack Rocks Quiet Surrey Town
Surrey Police were called to the scene at 2:45pm following reports of dogs attacking members of the public. A woman in her twenties was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. While formal ID is pending, her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Second Victim Hospitalised but Stable
A second woman was rushed to hospital with dog bite injuries. Thankfully, her condition is not life-threatening. Armed police detained seven dogs at the scene with help from the National Police Air Service. All the dogs are now in police custody.

Police have closed several roads around Gravelly Hill as officers continue their investigation. Chief Inspector Alan Sproston said:
“Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who sadly died this afternoon. This incident will be concerning to the local community and I want to reassure them all dogs have been accounted for and are in custody. We ask the community not to speculate while our investigation continues.”
