Brutal Acid Attack Shocks Crawley Station
British Transport Police are hunting two men after a savage assault left a man with serious chemical burns at Crawley railway station.
Victim Attacked with Corrosive Substance
The horrific incident happened just after 11.20pm on Saturday, 7 March. A man in his 30s was approached by three suspects. One suddenly threw a corrosive liquid at him. The victim was then chased, forced to the ground, and kicked repeatedly by the group before they fled the scene.
The injured man was rushed to hospital with potentially life-changing wounds but has since been discharged.
Police Launch Manhunt and Appeal for Help
Detective Constable Billy Burstow said:
“I want to acknowledge the concern this terrible attack has caused locally. We have launched extensive inquiries, including witness interviews, forensic work, and CCTV analysis. We are working closely with Sussex Police to track down those responsible.
“We believe this was an isolated incident between two groups who did not know each other, and there is no wider threat to the community.”
