Just after 5pm on Thursday, 22 October 2020, a chilling incident unfolded in Mary Datchelor Close, Camberwell. A seven-year-old girl was suddenly grabbed by an unknown man. Thankfully, the man dropped the girl shortly after and fled the scene on foot.
Police Urge Public to Help Identify Suspect
The little girl was unharmed, but the terrifying brush with danger has left the community on edge. Police are now appealing to anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward immediately. Your tip could crack the case or clear an innocent person.

Suspect Charged and Later Cleared
A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with child abduction on 24 October 2020. However, after further investigation, he was eliminated from the inquiry and released without charge.
