A 41-year-old man was arrested after causing chaos onboard an easyJet flight landing at Glasgow Airport this morning.

Emergency Landing After Mid-Air Disturbance

Flight EZY609, an Airbus A319 (registration G-EZAN), was flying from London Luton Airport when the pilots declared an in-flight emergency. They triggered the 7700 emergency squawk code just minutes before landing at Glasgow around 8.20am.

Passenger Removed by Police Scotland

Upon touchdown, the plane was directed to a remote stand. Officers from Police Scotland boarded and quickly took the disruptive passenger off the aircraft.

Police Confirm Disturbance on Flight

“We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow. The passenger was promptly removed and arrested,” a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed.
