Emergency Ambulance Busts Eastleigh Smash-and-Grab Gang Red-Handed
Thieves trying to raid a Bishopstoke Tesco Express for the second time in a week got an unexpected shock — a passing 999 ambulance caught them mid-crime.
Ambulance Crew Spot Smash-and-Grab Drama
Two paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service were on a call nearby when they noticed a shabby Ford Fiesta acting suspiciously on the main road. Moments later, they saw three men smashing their way into the Tesco Express, just yards from a local car wash fence.
Thieves Flee as Ambulance Crew Intervene
The ambulance team quickly aborted their original job, raised the alarm, and confronted the gang. The crooks bolted back to their car and sped off, but their faces and car were caught on both the ambulance’s dashcam and the Tesco’s CCTV.
Second Attack in a Week
This wasn’t the first attack on the store — windows remain boarded up from the previous raid. Police swooped on the suspects, making arrests. The three men are now in custody and being questioned over the smash-and-grab spree.
