Motorcyclist Dies After Crash on A21
Adrian Caddy, a respected motorcyclist from East Sussex, died in a tragic crash on 18 March at 5.59pm. Adrian was riding southbound on the A21 when he collided with a parked Seat Altea just south of the Marley Lane junction. Despite a fellow rider’s CPR efforts and a swift emergency response, Adrian’s injuries were fatal.
Family Pay Heartfelt Tribute
Adrian’s family released a moving statement:
“Words are difficult to express the deep sorrow and the void left by the loss of Adrian in such tragic circumstances. He will always be remembered as a loving, treasured and loyal man to his partner, a devoted father to his son, and a great friend to many.
He was a beautiful man, intelligent and witty, a dreamer of dreams, and a passionate defender of the natural world who led life with his heart.”
Driver Treated for Minor Injuries
The driver of the Seat Altea, a 46-year-old woman from Etchingham, was taken to Conquest Hospital with minor injuries following the collision.
Appeal for Witnesses
Police are urging anyone who saw the collision or spotted either vehicle nearby beforehand to come forward. Dash cam footage could be crucial. Witnesses should email [email protected] quoting Operation Holbrook.
