Woman Injured in Morning Crash at Lewisham Junction

A woman suffered serious injuries in a smash at the busy crossroads of Lewisham Way and Parkfield Road just before 9am today.

Emergency Services Rush to the Scene

Met Police and London Ambulance paramedics were on the scene within minutes. Paramedics arrived four minutes after the call and treated the injured woman before rushing her to a major trauma centre. Her current condition remains under assessment.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8:56 am to reports of an incident at Lewisham Way and Parkfield Road. Our first paramedics arrived within four minutes. We treated a woman at the scene before taking her to a major trauma centre.”

Road Closures and Bus Diversions Cause Rush Hour Chaos

Police have sealed off Lewisham Way and Parkfield Road to gather evidence, closing Parkfield Road and Amersham Vale for now. This has forced diversions for London bus routes 53, 177, 225, and 453, causing jams during the morning rush.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Investigations continue as officers hunt for details. Anyone with information is urged to contact police quoting CAD1891/24MAY24.
