Two Victims Smashed in Unprovoked Hammer Assault
Just after 8pm on Thursday 29 October, chaos erupted when an unknown man approached two people and smashed their heads with a hammer. The shocking assault was completely unprovoked.
Both victims required medical attention but, luckily, escaped serious or life-threatening injuries.
Police Urge Public to Help Identify Suspect
BTP Inspector Gary Pinner slammed the “concerning” attack in a busy Tube station and appealed for witnesses. He said:
“This is a concerning, unprovoked attack in a busy Underground station. We are really keen to trace and speak to the individual in the images. Thankfully, incidents like this are rare on the railway network and we have deployed reassurance patrols in the area. I’d ask anyone who recognises him to please text us on 61016, or call 999 if you see him.”
